I have always been concerned with the current and future states of our environment. When I think of how many people live on this world and the carbon footprint of each person, I see no way our future can end well. I feel almost like an intruder on this earth, unintentionally destroying the beauty of what took so long to be created. Anyways, the reason for this entry is that I feel very confused about what I want/need to do with my career. Yesterday in my environmental studies class, we watched biologists and researchers trek into the wilderness of Alaska and I found myself thinking, "I would love to be exactly where they are." I don't really have the same thoughts when I look at doctors. Sure, it would be cool to be a doctor but I feel as if protecting our world is one of the most important jobs you can get. Anyways, I guess I'll just decide later when I have more knowledge of both fields of study.
